Explore the underwater paradise which surrounds Koh Chang and nearby islands. The west and southern areas of the island are best for snorkeling and scuba diving as they are peppered with endless beautiful beaches, untamed coral reefs, and myriad marine life. If you want to get off Koh Chang for a while there are great destinations which can be easily reached. Sightseeing and snorkeling boat trips to spectacular sites like Koh Wai, Koh Rung, are widely available. The trip is normally inclusive of food, drinks, and full diving equipments. Looking for an adrenaline rush? Make a splash and enjoy the various exciting and fun water sports available on Koh Chang. These include kayaking, and para-sailing. Kayaking from Koh Chang to Koh Mun Nork is challenging, but fun and safe until the sun sets. If you are looking for a more romantic experience take a boat down the canals and try to spot the fireflies lurking in the trees.


Bush walking is yet another interesting activity on Koh Chang. There are some beautiful routes to discover pure natural rainforest, clear water, and stunning views along the way. Select your desired route e.g. Klong Plu Waterfall, Than Mayom Waterfall, and Kiri Petch Waterfall for short-distance walks. If you are up for it, take a challenging long-distance hike up mount Salak Petch. However, you will need a hiking guide while walking in the National Park.


One of the most challenging activities on Koh Chang is cycling along the rough, mostly level and sloping roads such as Dan Mai – Klong Son, and Kai Bae – Bang Bao routes. Cycling is a good exercise while you can enjoy spectacular views of seashores, the lush greenery of rainforests and mountains.


No trip to Koh Chang, which literally means Elephant Island, could possibly be complete without some fun with these friendly animals. Elephant trekking is an amazing and extremely popular activity on Koh Chang. Hop on the back of these gentle giants and enjoy a trek through the beautiful lush jungle. There are two elephant camp operators. The Chang Chutiman Tour operates elephant trekking near Klong Prao area. Another one is Ban Kwan Chang, which is supported by the Asian Elephant Foundation. The camp is situated at Klong Son where you can trek into the northern tropical rainforests
